Is it possible to eat healthy if you don't have time to cook?

A lot of times during the week I don't have time to cook and I end up grabbing a burger from a drive-thru. I'm trying to break my bad eating habits by looking for healthier options, any suggestions?

I've always thought that if I could figure out a way to start a healthy (I mean...actually healthy) fast food chain, I would be rich.

Eat fruit, you can carry it in your car. Same with sandwiches.

I've carried apples and oranges with me lately but sometimes you need a real meal. Someone should come up with a salad drive thru.

healthy fast food options do exist. just buy the damn salad. even still, my friends think that salad's are healthy even with a million croutons, bbq grilled chicken, and TONS of dressing. eating healthy takes mental effort, while eating junkfood is easy as 1-2-3/

Not having time is simply an excuse. Alot of times il'll find myself cooking "dinner" at 10 or 11PM when I get home so I have it to eat the next day for lunch/dinner.

I don't have time for lunch during Monday and Wednesday. I bring a bottle of protein shake, a banana, and a roast beef sandwich so I can eat during/between class.
Eating burgers and fries more than 2 times a week are pretty disgusting.

Try making large dishes, enough to last for 3 days or freeze a week's worth. Salads are also very quick and easy, try throwing in some chicken, fruits, and vegetables.

maybe for you, but I spend 3-4 hours commuting back and forth to work per day. Add the 8-10 hours I spend at the job and then another 2-3 hours working on my side business and I barely have time to get 8 hours of sleep.

Why don't you try getting some microwave dinners? The lean cusine ones are pretty good and they even have pizza. I think that fat is more important to look at over calories, so keep that in mind when you look at your calorie intake!

Why do you spend that much time commuting in the first place? Move closer to work or get a job closer to home.

What's wrong with grilled chicken?

yeah, i have the same problem. i just hate cooking at 7:30pm, when i get home. it is a lot easier to grab a meal at burger king, than to cook real food.
