i want to burn my diablo2 play disc so that i dont have to use the original cd. i usually bang cd's up when putting them in/out of the cd drive. i just tried burning the play disc so that i dont need to use the original, and when i stick in the burnt cd it autoplays fine, but when i try to play diablo2 it doesn't see the disc in the cd drive. is this possible?

Try burning at a slow speed, & using the "Ignore illegal TOC type" option in Nero.

That's about all I know to do, but I'm sure others will have more info. Just not many people on this late.

i tried everything. no go. i guess you have to have some kind of special cd drive that works with clonecd good. i thought my plextor 40x would kick a$$. but guess not. oh well.

Do what xtreme2k said. Go to GameCopyWorld and follow the link to Diablo 2 page. It will show you how to play the game w/o using your original play cd

No, this does work! U have to go to gamecopy world and get a crack/patch that tells it to used a "burned" cd instead. Here, I'll actually get ya the link since I'm so bored outta my mind!

why? it isn't legal for me to backup my own game. i bought it perfectly legally. and i dont plan on selling it either. i dont see why it would be locked. he is just showing me HOW to back up my cd. MY CD WHICH I BOUGHT. ok?

Is it possible to make a disc image, then use the disc image as if you had the CD in your CD rom...

Then I'd put like tons of disc images on a huge Hard drive, then share hot swap drives with friends.

Say we'd use the hard drives to transfer games/Mp3s/office2k/windowME...

And we'd be sharing the use of them..

Show me how or linke to how to use a Disc image as the real disc.

I´ll help untill the mods lock this, go to gamecopy world get the no cd crack for diablo2. Install the full version of the game to your computer and apply the patch.
