Is it possible to disable your car remote - so it doesn't beep each time you lock the doors?

Most alarms can do it. It's usually a combination of button pressing on the remote.

call the dealership or ask in a chrysler specific forum...odds of somewhere here knowing are slim. I don't think the demographics of this board match up too well with the t&c. :)

In my Benz I had a few years ago I had to have them hook it to the Benz computer and tell the car it was from Norway in order to get it to beep. I didn't trust not getting the audible confirmation.

I took it to the dealer (where I bought it from) and they said they'd have to charge me as it requires them to physically unhook something under the hood. bah

IIRC with nissans all you have to do is press and hold unlock until the lights flash twice or something like that. Maybe there's something like that for your car?

most keyless entry systems that I'm familiar with will lock the doors silently with one push , but the second push honks the horn...

only push the button once.

No, it beeps when you press the "lock" button once. I even attempted calling Chrysler's 1-800 customer service number. They had no clue.

Depends on the car.

Check your manual, if it's possible it should tell you how in there.

I've disabled this in the past (it can be done easily on my Maxima), but I find it makes me paranoid not to have it beep, because I don't trust that the car is locked.
