You sure are on top of your food pyramid, aren't you?

Some medical conditions prevent a person from eating. The prescribed 'diet' is usually a liquid, often milk-based, protein shake delivered via GI tube. (A tube surgically inserted in your small intestine) A machine slowly delivers the 'food' at a rate your gi tract can process.

Pigs with brown sugar and hickory smoke pumping through their veins.

You've got the essentials - ribs, roast, chops, and bacon.

I would disagree with this on the level that your digestive system needs fiber to keep it clean and there is nothing better for this than complex carbs.

No. I mean, assuming we knew what the ideal blend of nutrients was, would it be possible to combine them all into a single food or drink or pill? I see no reason it wouldn't be but I have a friend who insists it isn't. She's saying something about the breakdown of histidine and methionine but I can't make much sense of it...

I'd have to say yes, since we have already done exactly this for dogs and cats. We just haven't convinced anyone to eat the same thing every day for 15 years. :)

Stop eating carbs for 6 months, let us know how that goes.

it's already been created, their called doritos.
Check out the ingredient list sometime - they contain nearly every known compound.

Is is possible? Yes. It's probably just not economical to do.

Make a line of "Bachelor Chow, with Flavor" - and make it come in more than one "flavor." :) They could probably come up with something like that within a year, and make every bite taste like bacon, waffles, and sex - but it would cost $50/serving. The next step would of course be to make it cheap. Market that to college students, and you've got yourself a ton of money. Isolate chemicals that would make it taste like cheap beer.....or whatever else it is that people drink. Or wings - "wings nights" seem popular out here. All the taste of excellent chicken wings with 5000x more nutrition.
Then outsource production to a certain unnamed country, and have it all made with a healthy dose of melamine.

Sorry, it has already been created. It's called pizza.

Agreed. Plus, chicken wings and a steak sub about once a week each for the extra protein.
Oh come on, you're obviously biased.

;)

I sense a feeling of incredulity. I'm not making that up. It's a fact.

THink about how good it would feel to really go six months without eating any carbohydrates and then tell us all off. I say you do it.
