The OP is right to some extent.

This world has become so fucked up, you wish you can stop caring about it forever, but still the human within us will never stop doing so.

I like to think of it in this way as well.

I could let this can of soda cool to room temperature. Making it colder than that takes an expensive and complicated machine, called a refrigerator, designed to pull the heat out of one place, and dump it somewhere else.

Likewise, I could care less, but I don't feel like refrigerating the "care" center of my brain in order to push it down below the level of simple apathy.

Well you just proved me wrong, I could care less is no longer the most retarded thing in the universe.

What you typed just knocked it off the top spot.

"I could care less" has to go down as the most retarded saying in the history of the universe.

Its up there for sure, but "should/could/would of" annoys me like no other, simply due to how it is used by the overwhelming majority nowadays

I just dont get it, especially not when these are used by people who would otherwise seem smart and logical... But a logical person makes a typo and corrects themselves, while they legitimately dont get that what they are saying makes no sense

I tried priming the pump, I had faith and believed. I hope others can learn from my experiences. It turns out that that is not what primer cord is for.

Though I will say that most people probably haven't thought it through quite in that way, attempting to apply basic thermodynamics to it.

In that case, they could care less, but they simply lack awareness of the existence of those lower energy states. :D

As well as formal logic and real-valued functions. If my care(subject) is currently 0.01 then I could still experience lower yet non-zero values for care() such as 0.00001.

Sometimes I couldn't care less, sometimes I could.
