Is it possible to boot from a flashcard?

Just curious if it would be possible if I copied the system files to it.

I suppose you're one of those nuts who wants to save a few seconds during the boot process?

I have heard of a few laptops able to boot off of a drive in the PCMCIA slot. So if you put the system files on the flash card, slipped it in a PCMCIA adapter, and then put it in a laptop capable of booting from PCMCIA, then yes.

Otherwise, you're out of luck.
