So heres the deal, my computer desk is in my bedroom. I also have a 37" TV in the bedroom. I have my computer audio running to a 260 watt Philips bookshelf CD player. I also have an xbox on my desk that I play on my computer monitor. It also plays through the same bookshelf system, but I have to use a switch and switch between the 2.
I have an Onkyo HTIB that I am considering setting up in the bedroom. My desk is on one wall, and my TV is on the wall to the left of my desk. I am wondering if there is a way that I could either use the HTIB for both the TV audio as well as the computer/xbox audio(not at the same time obviously, but be able to switch between the 2. Or if that won't work, can I have 2 sets of speakers connected to the same receiver? I am pretty sure it has a switch for an A set and a B set of speakers, but I have never used that option before.
My goal is to get rid of the switch I have to use to switch the audio for my PC and xbox as well as be able to watch movies with surround sound on the TV. SO I am either going to try to set up the surround sound so it is centered around the TV and either have another set of speakers for the computer/xbox. Or possibly use the right front speaker(from the TV perspective) as the left front speaker for the computer, and the right rear as the right computer speaker. But I am thinking that is probably not possible.
