Is it possible for this board to add this feature?

Where you scroll your mouse arrow over a post and a little box comes up and tells you the first few lines of what's inside. I'm sure you've seen it on other boards. It seems like it would make it easier to view the board. Then have an option where you can turn it off if it annoys you.

Also why can't we posts pics here? If it annoys people just have an option to turn it off.

I'm suddenly tempted to set up a new website that has all of the forum's features, plus a set of new ones like the aforementioned thread preview. It wouldn't be overly difficult.

* Thread preview
* Embedded images (can be toggled off)
* User configurable avatars
* Ownage Of The Year nomination button
* Spoiler tags
* Quote nesting limits

Who wants to pitch in the $500 it'll take to motivate me to do this?

Embedded images is an awful idea. The fact that this forum doesn't allow embedded images is the only thing that makes it work safe and professional.

Now how about 2 actually useful ideas:

1. Add a spoiler tag. That allows you to hide a block of text behind a button. Like, I really liked the end of movie xyz: where the bad guy ended up winning . That way people could post spoilers in movie/games and other threads without wasting ridiculous amounts of space.

2. Fix the quote function so that it auto-truncates any more than 2 levels deep of quoting.
