My $400 rimless glasses did the exact same thing a year ago... Right in the middle, and all i did was re-adjust them on my face.

I ended up using electrical tape to keep em on through the night ;)

I'm actually going to pick up my latest pair right now, gonna ask for a prescription as well so I can get a backup pair from Zenni

EDIT: Lol, holy OLD THREAD batman! Sorry, my bad

If it's truly a memory metal it's a nickel-titanium alloy, actually.

If you stress it beyond a certain point, yes it will break...however, just pushing on the bridge should NOT do that. Somehow I doubt that it's real NiTi. You really gotta bend that stuff to cause it to break.

Any metal (crystalline structure) will break under the right stresses.

With that said, I'm still wearing my titanium frames (not memory) after about 5 years or so. Best set of frames I've ever had in my life.

For $30 lenses and frames, those frames have only a spec of titanium in them. Titanium is not cheap.

Holy old thread... yeah.

Well, um, update?

Got a new pair of memory titanium frames from Zenni (just the frames, not the lenses) and they're GREAT. They were definitely not the same frames that I got the first time that were supposedly memory titanium. I can bend then, twist them, and they pop right back into place. One thing that you should keep in mind though: Because they always bend back into place, it's hard to bend them into a shape that matches your face. There's a slight twist on the bridge, and it won't go away because it always bends back into place.

I was wondering whether or not that particular piece was memory titanium, because my wife had the exact same thing happen to her pair.
