It's soda, dammit. And "potato puffs" not "tater tots", while we're at it. Born and raised in Boston.

My favorite is N'Orleans folk calling any and everything a "cold-drink". :laugh:

But now I live in AL, and everyone calls it Coke, but then again, you also can't buy hard liquer at Walmart in AL, and that's just wrong.

Friend: "Would you like something to drink?"

Me: "I'll take a Coke"

Friend: "What kind of Coke do you want? I've got Coke, Diet Pepsi, and Mountain Dew."

Me: "uhhhh, a Coke"

Coke when I lived in Abilene, TX
