is it okay to forecast relevant experiences on your resume?

let's say you just got a job but will not starting working yet until 3-4 months down the road

you want to apply for a program and want to send an updated resume... how do I approach this?

I usually include the new job that I acquired and write a small description about the position with the appropriate date that is in the future

is this what people normally do?
