Is it ok to use a screw driver with magnetic bits?

G'day guys!
I was wondering if it is ok to use a screw driver with a magnetic bit (or a driver that has magnetized head) when assemblying a computer system, eg. putting screws into a motherboard, installing cpu cooler, hdds, video cards, etc.
Also, when using an open bench system for testing computer parts, is it safe to keep a working motherboard (working = powered up and running) on that plastic bag it was packed in?

Thank you in advance

I use them all the time. The only component that it can hurt is the hard drive. Even then, it takes a really powerful magnet to affect the hard drive.

As for the other question, yeah, keeping the motherboard on the plastic wrap won't hurt anything.
