Is it OK to run 2 CD-R programs on the same system?

Just wanted to make sure this is OK. I want to run both Nero 5 and EZ CD Creator 3.5 on the same Win2K system.

(Unless someone can tell me how to make mixed data / audio CDs on Nero where the data occupies a second multisession session - where it won't be seen as an audio track by a normal cd player).

I've never run 2 cd-r programs on the same system before before and I seem to remember hearing that it could cause problems. Then again that may just be me getting my facts mixed up.

Thanks for any info

Noooooooooooooo. You can't have Adaptec and Nero on the same system! At least in my experiences. Nero even warns you. I tried to have them both installed simeltaneousy two times and both times it totally crashed my computer.

Alright - thanks alot for the feedback. I guess I'll just stick with Nero for now
and worry about the multisession data/audio discs later.

I have Nero 5, EZCD Creator(4.03), and Clone CD, all installed on my win2k machine..no problem. I use them all for different things and all work flawlessly, just make sure you don't have EZCD creator running in the tray or Nero and Clone cd will not burn, otherwise there is no reason you can't.

I believe Nero has a problem with Direct CD, not EZCD Creator... you should be able to have both of them on your system without any problems... (at least with the newer versions of EZCD)

I don't use EZ CD, but, I was thinking there were some improvements that would make you want to go with 4.*, rather than 3.5. Possibly someone else will have input about the version.

BCYL and SonofZeuz are quite correct... DirectCD doesn't play nice with other CD programs, so don't install it if you plan to use other software...

My installs are:

EZ-CD 4
Nero 5.0
CDRwin
CloneCD

No problems in burning with any of them🙂

EZCD 3.x has compatiblity issues with other CDR programs.. plus I never has the need for EZCD anyway, I use Nero most of the time, and cloneCD the rest...

What causes the problems???? I currently run Easy CD 4.3, Clone CD, Nero, CDRwin and music Match with no problems...

I run:

Nero
Fireburner
Cdr win
Clone CD

I don't have any problems.

To all of you that have EZ CD 4 on your comp, WHY???? Get that buggy crap off you machine! That's probably your problem!
