Is it ok if I run my RAM asynch for this setup?

Hello!

I intend on overclocking my A64 3200 (939,90nm) from 2.0ghz to 2.4ghz. I have a nice Thermalright heatsink with a Vantec Tornado fan.
My only question is, is it ok if I dont OC my RAM? I will mostly likely be getting PC3200 Twinmos RAM.
If i dont run the RAM and CPU asynch, will I take a huge hit in performance? Will there be stability issues? What is the disadvantage?
Can someone shed some light on this issue plz


PS: The country where I live we dont get quality RAM.
