Is it my case or my power supplies?

I have a Chieftec Dragon case, and I have tried hooking up several power supplies to it, and they all look like this:

Should I be using a bigger (in dimensions) power supply, or is the hole in my case larger than normal(I bought it used).

I would think that case would take a normal power supply. What have you been using that is so small? Did they come from a desktop or mini case?

My case did that when it had a 300w power supply.

I just let it one or two screws and it worked out fine.

It held up for a quite few weeks until I changed it to a 400W (and new computer).

Never once did the power supply even slip. But, if you're paranoid about that kind of stuff, I guess you could put a plastic or cardboard layer under it. Just tighten what screws you can tightly...very tightly. :)

I forget if I actually put on the extra bracket to make it fix properly though.

Bingo! That's what's missing here. ATX PSU's are all pretty much the same size, give or take a few millimeters.

The official Antec name for it is the "Power Supply Mounting Plate" and you seem to be missing it.

That seems to be it. Well, I am off to google to try to find one of these. Or maybe I'll dig around in my basement for a piece of scrap metal and try to trim it with some shears.

I'm sure if you contact Antec or Chieftech they will send you one for a small price. I'd try Antec first.
