It seems to me at least. That infamous title is oh so familiar to us.. I never really watched them because I'm either out or doing other things like playing a video game...

I thoroughly watched SNL tonight for like the 4th time and i don't think it's that funny at all... I don't know.. maybe my expectation was too big.. I think regular Late night shows are much better, funnier such as Conan, Leno etc...

Anyone else agree?

oh yea btw, I gotta give it to them for Celebrity Jeopardy though. (DLed on my PC)

They've been in a slump since Farley/Sandler/Schneider/Hartman/Rock/Carvey left... I haven't tuned into a full episode since - they're really grasping for straws.

I think SNL is still funny, I would much rather watch it than Leno or Conan [ i do like his show though].

No, its not as good as when they had Hartman, Farley, Meyers etc.... but they have had some good people the last few years.

My fav. newer cast members are Farrel and Hammond. I like Parnell too...

Yeah, with Kevin Nealand or Norm McDonald - the rest of the new people couldn't tell a joke if their lives depended on it.

Well after watching the VMAs, it had to hurt SNL's image with that idiot clown Jimmy Fallon. I actually used to like him and think he was funny.

But it's true that it's lost it's shimmer from before- the stuff from the 70s and 80s was among the best, even up until about 3-4 years ago. I hope they don't can it (they won't), but there needs to be some better scripting and better hosts. Not just 'who's popular right now'.

yeah, bring back McDonald!!! The old shows were MUCH better (Belushi, Farley, Sandler, Murphy, etc). Todays are pretty weak, and overall, just not funny as they used to be :)

Completely. I never saw what the facination is/was about SNL. Most of the skits were just painful to watch. Rob Schneider and the News with Kevin Nealand was funny on occasion, but that was it...

And the Ambiguously gay duo still gives me nightmares...

It seems people always think the previous generation of SNL is better than the current one. I think this one's pretty good, esp. the Weekend Update.

Man those were some great shows...

but i agree SNL sucks lately, even the guest bands suck. Since iam on the subject of SUCK I will never understand how you people find Conan funny. His humor, skits, comments are just down right LAME!

anyway back on subject. SNL better find some new QUALITY talent soon or...........

He was funny, but he was starting to get pretty dull with the weekend update the last few shows he was one. What was funny i thought, on his last show i think it was, he was in a skit and his fake mustache fell off and he was trying to wing it, i thought that was funny.

I mostly watch SNL on Comedy Central now, since they usually play the older stuff which was pretty good.

i think it depends on your age...the older u are the more u identify with the older episodes. not that they werent good but like today's there some really funny skits and then there are some lame ones. conan is good but leno is NOT funny at all...i remember when his monologues were hilarious but now all he does is is lame sexual jokes that dont even illicit a laugh from his own audience...and i happened to catch a skit the other day where he was doing celebrity jeopardy which i thought was a new low...

all the old ones made me laugh so hard. these new ones suck. :disgust: i think late night shows are pretty funny, and so is the comedy central stand up's. Jim Breuer is one of the greatest stand ups! download some of his stuff on Kazaa. :D
