AFAIK, McD's hamburgers have been 10 to the pound (uncooked) for years. Obviously, the Quarter Pounders are 4 to the pound. The double nets you a little less meat (.20 lb -vs- .25) but it costs you a lot less too. I don't know about the size of the Big-n-Tasty. Think I'll go see if I can look it up.

10 to the pound means 10 regular hamburgers are made out of 1 lb of ground beef. 4 quarter pounders are made out of every 1 lb of meat. Double cheeseburgers are 2 regular patties, so that's 2/10 of a lb (1/5=.2lb)

I know McD's is horrible, but it's the only fast food joint that I haven't gotten sick of the taste of yet. BK, Wendy's, I'm sick of.

Has anyone noticed how small the Wendy's 99 cent value menu has gotten? First it was biggie drink and biggie fries. Then they changed it to medium drink medium fries. Now there's no drinks or fries for 99 cents. Guess they can't keep up with inflation, and "$1.19 value menu" just doesn't have a good ring to it.

they are not very big dude. IDK if the mcdonalds down here makes em really small or something but i go to McDonalds very rarely and i just get 2 of the 99 cent double cheeseburgers and a spicy chicken sandwhich or the 2 and the fries like i said. they usually fit easily in the palm of myhand so yea they are small.

If these fast food chains can take off the $1 menu, they would do it in a heart beat.
Actually if McDs, BK and Wendys got together and sau" well, we'll take off our dollar menu if you take off yours, " they all would do it so quick.
Fast food is not a very profitable business these days with these burger wars.

On a related note, those KFC commercials with Jason Alexander tickle me to no end. I love how he points out the "pre-processed pressed meat" nuggets. Dude, that's the best part about McNuggets! You don't have to worry about getting strips of it stuck in your teeth because it's all been ground into a fine paste and dropped into a deep frier. It tastes like love. And as we all know, the physical form of love is lard.

they've always had the smallest double cheeseburgers. i get double quarter pounders from them. they are signifcantly bigger.
