Is it me or is the Hot Deals forum is starting to fall off?

I've noticed ever since Jokersmoker left, a couple people are posting normal everyday sales like crazy. Sure i can look at a Best buy sales add and list every item on its own thread, but whats the point? Hot deals is for hot deals, not for acknowledging that apple switched to intel and it may be possible to save money on macs now.... Ah just needed to rant for a little bit lol

search on fatwallet is awesome
deal2buy has a huge variety of stuff and GREAT dell deals and coupon codes
and of course, rossman's site is pretty good

slickdeals is falling off too imho but obviosuly for unrelated reasons

It's been on a gradual decline for a while but I still enjoy reading it and partaking in the deals.

FW/B$/SD is where it's at.

It's starting to fall off because multiple noobs are spamming 10 different threads in a row for 10 crappy deals and they get all hot and heavy when people say anything about it.

I'm particularly fond of the people spamming dell deals where its just the default 20% off or whatever and theres nothing special about it.

And theres no link or anything, just "2005fpw 450 at dell. Hottest price I could find."

The thing I hate about HD is how its pretty much turned into lazy asses spamming their own HD site. We must get a new one in there every day.

If AT required paid registration to post those deals, (A) the number of jackasses using AT for their profit would dwindle and (B) the quality would improve because the ones left who paid to post hot deals would use their paid privileges wisely (one would hope).

Just irritates me that there are a lot of members here who do nothing but post in HD for their own gain. :roll:
