One of the many, many Bushisms.

"People make suggestions on what to say all the time. I'll give you an example; I don't read what's handed to me. People say, 'Here, here's your speech, or here's an idea for a speech.' They're changed. Trust me."?Interview with the New York Times, March 15, 2000

Maybe he should read that stuff that's handed to him. But then again, I don't want to sit there watching him trying to sound out a word that he hasn't seen before.

He sure has communcation problems, I've notice in cases where he does not read of a transcript, he goes "UUMMM UMM" untile he reacalls those famous words of he's and then repets them.

Here is my take on it knucklehead. So what if he repeats things, as long as he gets the job done who cares. I'm sure he might be a little nervous at this time as the whole nation is watching. Here is an example. Ever notice how poeple on the show "who want to be a millionare" always miss the easy question while we sit at home and have no problem with them. Everyone tells me that there is a ton of pressure on them at the time and sometimes you just go blank , looking like a dummy. So I'm sure the pressure is emmense right now so shut up and let him do his job.

Or if it really bugs ya why don't you write your congressman and tell him how you feel then while your at it you can go tell Mike Tyson that when he speaks he sounds like a girl since your such a speach expert.

Ya' know, the more I think about it......you're right! Since this has begun, President Bush has been repetitively saying and doing the right thing! he may not be the most elequant speaker, but, where it counts he seems to be doing things right!;)

C'mon guys, give Bushy a break. I'm certainly no big fan of his but maybe we can wait till something happens, then we can poke fun at him again;)

On second thoughts, maybe him being funny is good for us all, its a break we all need:)

To those of you who disliked Bush before all this started or to those who didn't vote for him: you know damned well that there's nothing Bush could do to really please you. You saw how the press reacted on 09/11 when Bush wasn't in the White House to console the American people right then and there. He got grilled! The media demands that Bush make a speech every day, and in some ways, I think he needs to. If Bush wasn't making as many speeches, you would be complaining of the opposite!

As I said last week: in a month the American public will have been desensitized to the whole issue and won't care; won't want military strikes, won't wave the flag, won't send money to disaster relief funds. In a month, the average American will be back to their typical selfish and apathetic attitude. It has already started by those here who no longer want to hear about it, telling the Pres to shut up!

I?m not going to fire a $2 million missile at a $10 empty tent and hit a camel in the butt. It?s going to be decisive.

LOL, cool sig GT, but what will be decisive? Hitting the camel in the butt or hitting the empty tent?

You know, i'd like to see half even just one of you guys making fun of Bush try and give a speach infront of millions and millions of people. If I were in that position, I could barely remember my name, let alone answer some of the tough questions he is faced with each day...lay off. :disgust:

Oh, and if the media would ask some new questions, maybe Bush could come up with some new answers! :)

Besides the fact that Bush has writers that prep these speeches for him, there is only one thing on everybodys mind and only one thing to watch on the news right now (that would be the terrorist attacks, just in case you've been sleeping). How much fresh material can a few writers come up with when they're writing about the same subject non-stop for over a week?
