subscriber or not?
 
I'm not a subscriber but am on a University T1 and sometimes AT is the slowest site I try to bring up. Really sucks.
 
Occasionally it's blazing fast. Usually it's annoyingly delayed. However, sometimes when it's lagging and I click on the link again it just goes through right away. Weird. Never had any better luck with forums2 or forums3 so I gave up on those. Not a subscriber here (obviously).

Most of the time, dialup was as fast or faster for this. :disgust:

Exact same situation here. I'm on a University of California T1 connection and the AT forums can get rediculously slow sometimes. A majority of the time it's just plain sluggish.

Ah well...
 
Me=Dial up connection which is embarrasingly slow anyways( waiting patiently...beta tester for wireless, 90 days and counting down) .

Other sites "seem" so much faster, if AT is having bandwidth/money issues, please tell me they /he would make it public and allow the AT effect solve all problems.

AT ROCKS! Just my humble opinon.

ps. If you are bored, please vote 10 for me...my ego could use some massaging.

I was going to say same situation here... except its the exact same situation here. I live in houck house, you're in lincoln tower. Today I had to alter how many topics and posts it displayed per page, to get my % of correctly loading pages above 15%. It was that bad. It gets pretty bad pretty often, while other sites do not slow down for me. I'm probably going to subscribe in a few days, just to get some speed (I have broadband here and at home, so I've gotten somewhat spoiled).

Other sites seem faster because AT is throttling the bandwidth to non-subscribers to keep costs down. They let that issue be
"known" when they introduced subscription. Subscribe and 98% of speed problems are solved.
