to capture tv shows with a tv-card? I want to be sure before I do this, but I am pretty sure it's legal since it's going to be home re-watch.

And also, what other some good tv cards with video capturing capability? I want one with good quality / high resolution.

Yes, it is legal. It's no different than a VCR or a DVR. You may not, however, resell those captured programs (without the express written consent of Major League Baseball).

As long as it's for personal use. I use the All-In-Wonder VE PCI and get good results, but my cable reception isn't the greatest.
