Is it legal to give Dell coupons away?

Got a $40 off $350 coupon in my inbox from Dell. Not sure if anyone can use it or it has to be under my account.

Anyway, I have no plans on using it and was wondering if it'd be OK to give it to someone in need to save some cash.

I was just looking at some of them on Ebay but most of the completed auctions have been "moved" and no longer show up

I bought one off ebay once and the auction was later cancelled, ebay said I didn't have to purchase but I'd alrleady bought it.

BTW the coupon worked fine for my account, so I'm sure you'd be ok giving it to someone else to use.

Only thing I can find on Ebay is this but it doesn't fall under any of those four categories.

Except maybe this:

Electronic "scanned" coupons are not permitted on eBay - all coupons sold through eBay must be physically delivered to the buyer, and may not be delivered by electronic means for home printing. Further, to reduce the potential for coupon abuse, eBay asks that sellers refrain from placing clear, unaltered scans of coupons in their listings that could be copied, printed and redeemed in stores. The sale of "scanned" or photocopied coupons may violate federal copyright laws, and sellers of such unlawful items could face prosecution under federal law. eBay will not tolerate such transactions through its site.

Guess you can't physically deliver a coupon that was sent via Email

If you do sell through ebay & paypal, make sure you do use us mail as a followup to email or you might get backcharged.

Good point.

Though I don't plan on selling this, just want to give it to someone who needs it.

However, I don't want to get banned in the process

Dell gives "coupon codes" via email, not actual coupons. I get coupons from Staples, Office Max and Office Depot every month. They usually have to be scanned/punch in when used in store. Thus the needed of the physical coupon, not the code to reduce/eliminate fraud.

it isn't illegal, but it's immoral to give them away free when you can sell them for a little $$ ;)

I've purchased Dell coupons off FW and eBay with no problems.

It's not illegal but it may be against forum rules on AT.
