Is it just my browser or did AMD take down their fastest graphics card counter?

Futuremark never supported a driver where they could not detect the tesselation level and it could be changed.

Yep, and AMD has been using 3DMark11 to claim the top spot since well before Futuremark could detect anything.

Grats, we're on the same page now.

Wait you said they used an approved driver and modified tess levels, but then the result would be flagged.....

I thought that AMD added the hooks in CCC to adjust the Tess performance, but that they never actually implemented anything in the driver yet to do so.

Thus, there was no reduction in Tesselation yet.

Afaik the slider has worded since day 1.

Let's prove apoppin wrong and not let shills derail another thread!

My AMD™ graphics cards don't support DX11 :(

No, what I said was that AMD has been using 3DMark11 to make their claim using a score they obtained with drivers that were not supported by Futuremark and supported adjusting tessellation without it being able to be detected.

What I didn't say was that they cheated, I simply stated they used unofficial results.

I was just following the direction of the thread, using points of reference others already brought up.

It's not like this was directed towards me, I mean I got TRI SLi 470s for less than a 7970. If that's what this was really about we'd be talking about 9k vs 18k gpu scores for less money, but it's not. Try to stay focused, I know your first post was a waste, as was the second, but third times a charm!
how are you possibly running highly oced gtx470 tri sli with that 850 watt psu? just the 3 cards at well over 900mhz would consume that much power.

AFAIK the AMD optimised setting does not interfere with 3dmark11, it's more for situations where tesselation levels are much higher (needlessly so).
