Is it just me or...?

Is it just me, or are the forums a lot slower now than they were before the upgrade? Right away when they came back on they were extremely fast and smooth loading, but I've found since then that they're a lot slower, and there are often problems loading pages or with huge delays in posting or loading the whole post, things like that... It's the same on all of the computers I've tried, but they're all connected in the end through @Home, so is it just me, or is there something going on?

I got a 404 when first trying to view this post. Reliability is deffinetly down in my oppinion.

Try using forums3.anandtech.com. I've had some problems with the generic link, but forums3 hasn't been a problem.

Yes, it's been a lot slower for me as well. Try http://forums3.anandtech.com. It's been much more reliable for me.

I'm trying ....forums3 and the forums definitely work faster. But I have noticed earlier and even now from the forums3 url that PMs take a very long time to load both reading and replying. Anyone notice that?

[edit] The PMs seem to operate faster from forums3 also.

What is the difference between forums3 and the standard url. Different servers?

I had noticed a slowdown as well. I am on a dialup and I wasn't sure if was me (my ISP) or the Forums. The big problem for me was the delay between clicking on a link and getting any kind of a response.

Smokeball, The forums are run on a server farm. Forums3 is a specific system in that farm. For some reason it seems to be giving better response.

You guys are right, forums3 is much faster, although it's still a little slow.
