Is it just me, or is UT2k3 easy?

I downloaded the demo cause I'm thinkin about buying it... and I was winning matches 20 - 0 and 20 - 3... is the game really that easy, or is it just that only noobs play the demo?

I've not played it much but I know that when you create the game you can adjust the bot-skill level, you prolly have it on uber-n00b1e mode or summit.

Didn't know people still played that game.
I never bought / will buy it. From what I've seen/heard...TERRIBLE

Then you've seen/heard wrong. 🙂

It's worth buying just for checking out all the different mods for it.

Jeff maybe you own at it who knows. I'd be willing to play a few rounds with you just to see how good you are. Havent played it in a long while myself but was decent at it when I quit.

Well, I am better than all my friends at SoF2... but that game is a lot different than UT... I dunno... it just seems easy... Sniper... PM me sometime so we can have a little match between us and see if I'm that good, or if only noobs play the demo.

No, I was playing online against others.
Then perhaps your opponents are of a low skill level?

Yeah, try a different server. The other thing are you sure they were real players and not just bots which join when the number of real players drops below a certain level?

If you're a beginning player and haven't been owned by someone yet you've just been lucky. Probably the worst ownage you would ever see would be in either Quake 1 or Quake 3 but the same sort of thing should happen in UT, CS or any other.

Most decent players will have the retail version.
AFAIK there are servers for the demo, and servers for the retail version. Retail players will most probably be of a higher skill level, and thus more difficult to beat.

Actually all people with the retail version can play demo servers, and they do. Try different servers, or just try playing bots on the hardest setting.

I used to wreck the demo people in every game. :]

Alas, screw UT, go back to Quake 2!!!!!

The best first person shooter EVAR MADE!!!!!!!!!!!

(imho)
