just watched gattaca and looked up who the leading lady was. uma thurman? i'd heard the name but never seen her before and to be honest i expected more.
 
Yup nope. Madonna or Lady Gaga either... similar looks. I mean they're at least a 7 but compared to who's out there...

But it does support my underlying point that Hollywood production values have gotten so damn good that you could almost plug anyone into the lead, surround them with a cast of really talented extras, and jump cut and overdub and 25 take them to some sort of shiny simulacrum of polished perfection.

I don't think she's as insanely gorgeous as this fine young lady above (I think she's my #1 celeb crush <3) but I still think she's pretty. She was hot in Kill Bill ftw.

Hmmm. I might be tied on the #1 crush with Anna Kendrick or Alexandra Daddario. Too hard to decide
 
I think the first time I saw Uma was in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Anyone else remember this classic Terry Gilliam 80's movie?
