Is it just me or is the Simpsons getting really stupid?

It's not just you...they ARE stupid. They've been stupid for a few years now, in my opinion. Go watch some older ones and you'll feel better. Monorail episode always works for me.
 
it seems like all of a sudden after this one year, simpsons has just not been funny
maybe the writers r running out of ideas...

thank god there's still reruns where there's funny episodes

Simpsons has been with us for years, the first real adult Cartoon and now its gone sucky. They bring new ones like Family Guy and Futurama and cancel those even though they are fresh and more funny that Simpsons.

This is why Jerry Seinfeld cancelled his own show after nine seasons, before it went over the hill... Friends sucks now too. It's bound to happen to even the best shows... they just run out of funny things that can be applied to a such a rigid framwork.

has anyone noticed that maybe like 2-3 years ago, all the new sitcoms have gotten worst? it doesn't seem like they like to build up a story or a joke and use it throughout an episode? i miss sitcoms like seinfield where the whole episode was based on one or two little things, and they build upon them...
the newer comedies seem like all they want is to get people to laugh with one lines...i'm so tired of one line jokes that i can't stand to watch sitcoms
good thing it seems like frasier hasn't really gotten like that yet

Really? I thought that this weeks episode was MUCH stupider than the Simpsons.
 
I'm hoping they pull the show out of the current rut it is in. If they can just do that, they show will be good for another 15 years.
 
The only reason to tune in anymore is to hear Jasper. Did you see him go Couching Tiger when that "gang" stepped up to them. He's the only decent character left. 🙂
