Using a Razer Orochi and Logitech m555b with my laptop. Both of these bluetooth mice work just fine. No lag problems and never have to re-pair them.

Same with my phone's connection to my car and my bluetooth headset's connection with my phone and with my PC.

Have had no such issues with Bluetooth.
Phone connects to car every time, and sounds awesome too.

I had issues with some bluetooth devices that were released right as the technology was coming out, but I haven't had any issues with them for years. Perhaps your devices in particular fail?

my only bt device is my logitech di novo edge. kb works great, until it flakes out completely and randomly once a week or so.

I agree with OP. I have a set of Plantronics/Altec Lansing headphones that I have paired with my laptop and my Samsung Moment phone. I always have to re-pair the headset with each device. Hell, if I use them in proximity to the laptop AND the phone at the same time, I have to choose which device I want to listen to. Why can't I listen to both?

Early on, I had a BT headset that simply sucked (was a decent name brand too) but my latest one from Plantronics is pretty good. I only keep it in my car though. Soon as I turn it on, it pairs up automatically and stays connected.

I had a bluetooth GPS unit. It sucked, constantly having to re-pair and incredibly slow. Therefore BT sucks.

My opinion of bluetooth has sunk even lower, fuck. Now when I go to re-pair my BT headset, Windows says no driver found and fails to install. UGH! WHAT A HORRIBLE FUCKING TECHNOLOGY!

What a nice idea. Devices stay paired between uses. Not. Nothing ever stays paired. Ugh.

My phone and my headset have to be re paired to my laptop each and every single time I use them. They 'lose' each other and can't be reconnected without a new pairing.

Funny enough, my bluetooth mouse generally works fine, only needing to be re paired once a month or so...

never had a problem with the phones and headsets i've used. always stayed paired.

maybe you just buy shitty equipment? :sneaky:

Which Plantronics earpiece did you get? I have the 975 and I love it so much I've bought it three times. D: First time it fell out of my pocket and got run over in a parking lot. :\ 2nd time I missplaced it at a grocery store. By now I've learned to be a little more careful about how I handle it. From a functional POV though, it's friggin' awesome.

I washed mine....as in with laundry.

Let it dry out a week and it works again

D:D:D: Now I have to be afraid that I'm gonna do that too.

The thing I love about the 975 is that it's so small, but in a way that's also it's biggest drawback. I even forget that it's in my ear most of the time.

bluetooth is useless, but not for the reason you listed.
i hate its short 30' range. i'd like to be able to walk around my house without bringing my phone with me.

Mine is the 665. I thought I had lost it and was pissed. Then I find it in the dryer...

i agree with the OP the only bluetooth device i have is my PS3 and TBH that would be better if it was not bluetooth

the BT mice and KBs we have on some comps at work lag like hell and are generally crap

ps3 is the only bluetooth thing i've ever used, and i have to resync my headset like everytime i use it.

i rarely use the headset so maybe the paring expires after like 4 months.

The few things I have had BT on have worked flawlessly.
I wish MORE stuff used it.

How can you pair wrong so it works at first, then never again without deleting the pairing and recreating? I don't see a way to fail that.

Some devices have a setting to remember / forget devices once paired. I was having the same problem you describe between my car stereo and my cell phone until I found a setting on the stereo that said "remember paired devices" and my woes were addressed.
