Is it just me or is Archer REALLY unfunny this season?

Everyone has been telling me I should love this show... but after watching 1 1/2 seasons I just don't get it.

This is a really stupid question but... why is it funny? Is it because it's crude humor? "Cyril, I need you to suck the venom from my taint" - is it funny because taint?

And it's not like I'm some dope who watches 2 and a half men and only laughs when I have a laugh track to guide me.
 
The humor comes from how dysfunctional all of the relationships are in the show, how completely fucked up the characters are, and how they're a spy agency in spite of all of that. You either get it or you don't.

Personally, I find the show The Big Bang Theory to be completely without humor. I have friends, however, who love it while at the same time they don't get Archer. Go figure.

That's a shame, TBBT and Archer are both great shows unfortunately on the decline. Archer is the kind of show I might not laugh at if I'm watching it with friends though, the dialogue goes so fast that I find myself needing to pay extra attention to find some of the humor.

Why is anything funny? It's incredibly subjective. It's okay if you don't like it. It doesn't make you a bad person. I love alternative music but I can't stand Pearl Jam. Some things just don't click.

Yeah, a lot of the humor is really complex and you have to catch it because it flies by. One i caught recently...

Archer: Mother she doesn't have VD!
Mallory: What, you haven't slept with her yet?

Zing!

A lot of the jokes in Archer come off well from the delivery as well.

I'm in the same boat only its worse as I love H Jon Benjamin and the creator of Archer's past shows (Sealab 2021 and Frisky Dingo). I just cannot get into this show, its like a less crazy version of those two and that's the whole point is the absurdity.
 
Last night's ep was pretty good 😀 My wife wants a big farting dog now.

"Archer's on the phone"
"I'm not here."
"YOU'RE NOT THERE???!!!!! WHHHOOOAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"
