Is it just me or does Phantom of the Opera music suck

I'm usually a big fan of musicals/orchestral pieces, so everyone expects me to like this music, but god does it suck...like, really bad.

i liked it up until the phantom and the chick were going underneath the theater and the drums kicked in....i couldnt stand the movie after that as much as i tried.

i like it... that was the first stage "show" i ever saw. It really pushed me to pursue acting. I think its a weak musical, made for the masses, yet i still love it, and secretly wish i could sing light Sarah Brightman did in the original.

Well, listen to the old version. The male voices in the new one were REALLY freaking weak. The girl didn't do so bad, though.

I have plenty of stuff that is in the same category that I love, it's just THIS music for some reason. I can't pinpoint the reason.

Which cast recording are you listening to? You want the original cast recording with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman. I'm not a fan of Colm Wilkenson's Phantom rendition.

The ORIGINAL cast recording is the BEST version out there... well, next to hearing it live at Her Majesty's Theater in London... which I got to do nearly 10 years ago
