There's coffee that tastes good without two tablespoons of sugar?

I used to have that problem. Sugar and cream of some kind.

I weened off the child's approach, however, now just take coffee black. But I like how coffee from different places has a distinct flavor. Masking it with sugar and cream makes it more uniform, plus of course it dulls the great flavor of coffee.

I probably just drink too much crap coffee.

Coffee doesn't burn. It gets sour as it sits on a burner. Roasts can be dark or light. One isn't more correct than the other. It's a matter of taste.

I've had some coffees from Timmy's that end up undrinkable, maybe it's because they over "cooked" it? Overall I don't really mind their coffee really, but I'm not exactly a coffee nerd with a highly calibrated brewing system going on, I just like it so I can wake up in the morning or when I feel like a warm drink. I used to drink lot of hot chocolate but switched to coffee as it's not quite as bad for me and better at waking me up.

Why I always gets the double-double... Two whopping tablespoons drowns out everything else.

Oddly I prefer black, I tried cream/milk/sugar in different combinations and I'm not crazy about it.

I never drank coffee for the longest time as I felt I did not like it. Then for fun decided to try black. Took me a bit to decide if I really liked it, it really is an acquired taste like they say.

Meh, McD's coffee isn't so bad. I stopped by for a cup the other day for the first time in a couple years and thought it was pretty good. To each their own I guess.

I live a couple minutes from a park/square that has events over the weekends, last weekend it was some kids festival. There was a McD truck giving away free medium coffees. Being free, I gave it a try, that's the one and only time I've had McD coffee.
I thought it was pretty decent, similar to Tim Horton's. I'm not a coffee aficionado though, for a long time I didn't drink it at all, only in the recent years did I develop a habit, still at about 2-3 a week, I prefer mocha (1/2 coffee, 1/2 chocolate)...

Never could get into coffee all that much. Hate the taste.

This is the reason I go for my own Cold Brew. Kills off a lot of the bitterness usually associated with coffee. Otherwise, I nearly gag unless the coffee has a lot of creamer, or otherwise a mixed drink.

The one time I had a McDonalds Iced Coffee though, it tasted extremely sweet. Could feel my (busted up) teeth rotting on contact.

As for Mcdonalds, everything that damn company puts out is mediocrity, even their overrated breakfasts. My eating choices are far from ideal, granted, but I have standards at least. If the food is going to be terrible for you health-wise, it should at least taste good, not just passable.

It's better than the competition. I don't really understand the Dunkin love. Haven't gone there a lot but I certainly wasn't impressed with the coffee.

My wife actually loves hitting McD's for coffee in the morning a lot of the time on the way to work. Even after tea.

We have better stuff in house, but is just convenient and around the corner.

She rates it pretty high, though I usually make my own coffee here in the house.

Nah it is awful, it's just a lot less awful than it was in the past. Tim Hortons isn't exactly the benchmark of coffee to which it should be compared. It may or may not seem "good" compared to timmies based on personal preference, but it's definitely not what I'd call "good coffee". Still though, all things in perspective... for the price, meh, can't really complain that much. Not likely to go out to any place and get a cup of anything much better for that price. You'd either need to pay substantially more or make it yourself.
