Is it just me or does JK2 suck?

First off, i loved the prequel. It's one of my favorite games of all time. But this... this just feels like a cheap knock-off. I just started playing so i probably shouldn't judge it, but it just doesn't look good. I'm running around all the time without a sense of purpose, killing everything in my path. The story is shaky, i'm not really sure what i'm doing most of the time. I just got to this stupid shape matching puzzle thing, which qualifies as the lamest gameplay-extending trick i've seen in my life. The graphics look pretty crappy compared to other Q3-based games, such as RTCW. Multiplayer... sigh. Was this done the day before the game was set to ship? This feels like a Quake 3 mod. I don't know... i was really excited about this game, was dying to play it since it was announced. But it just doesn't look good right now.

Its not really that cool until you get the lightsaber and the force powers. Oh, and multiplayer is SOOO much fun.

Played a 4 on 4 match yesterday and it was so much fun, the force powers rock for MP. Also in FFA, use the 'k' to challenge someone to a saber duel. It's similar to dueling mode, you can lock sabers and everything. Basically in MP, all you will use is lightsaber and explosives.

Well the stun gun and blaster and pretty much useless. The stormtrooper rifle is what you use most of the time until you get the saber. The rifle has 2 fire modes, single short, good accuracy and rapid fire, low accuracy for CQB. The sniper rifle is useful but mostly against the counter snipers cause the game is mostly CQB. The light saber is primary weapon you use of course, once you get it. Saber throw is good for a range attack. Then explosves are pretty cool, esp the trip mines. thermal detontors and blast packs are also useful in certain situations. I haven't gotten the last few weapons yet.

Agreed. Those are always the lamest f**king things ever. My game is set to ship today. It got a 93% on the only review I've read and it also said some of the puzzle stuff was lame - that was their main complaint. Damn I hope your impression changes.

On the other hand how the hell in Canada did u get retail (?) already? It's set to ship on the 27th for pre-orders and in stores on the 29th. wtf?!

Yes... even with Force speedup you are not fast enough... but how about you combine.... use speedup and.... spoiler.... pull just before the cage closes. You only pull it out...not run over it.

I need some help in the level where you meet the Garbage Kingpin. I made it all the way pretty high. I am in the room with the pool of water that gets the electric shook. Blast the barrel to enter the side room and cut the line to stop the electricity to the water... but what next? I can't jump high enough, to rach up from the water or the pipe. the two doors are still locked? HELP PLEASE

HAHAHA..... d1abolic do you mean the puzzle when you do the Jedi Training? If so... the solution is on the wall... Use the Force Young Jedi!

Use force speed as soon as the platform hits the ground and get as quickly as possible to the cage. The use Force Pull (F2) to pull it out before it closes. Took me a few tries to get it right.

I hope you didn't give up ater the 10 min. It feels like a whole no bag of beans now that I am acctually am a Jedi. Fighting with the force powers and Saber is just to cool.

Karsten: There's a 'lip' under the door which is the bridge. Use force pull on it. Then jumpt on the bridge and from their to the ledge. That's it.

I gave up after 10 minutes, but not permanently. It's like an old game you've played time and time again. It gets old so I move on.
