Is it just me or does cumin smell like...

... sweaty old people?

I mean it could be that my nose is seriously messed up. I won't even begin to describe some of the chemicals I used to work with in my dad's business without proper handling precautions when I was a kid. And, well, I had a LOT of fun in my high school chemistry class doing things that would get most kids expelled (benefits of having a bunch of siblings that went through that school before me). So yeah, it could just be my nose.

I have tastebuds..my nose isn't that delicate. I don't ever want to taste old person.

Not a big fan of cumin either. When I was younger working as a prep cook at Ruby Tuesdays, I remember making a SW corn salad which called for that stuff. I thought it smelled so bad I asked the kitchen manager if it went bad or spoiled.

weird, I was lamenting to coworkers just today how bad the mango flavored tic tacs smell like BO...in fact everything mango flavored does. I fucking hate mango.

Its very earthy smelling.

Earthy... I guess that's one way to put it.

I've used cumin in cooking a lot, and always thought it stank like people funk honestly. But that never stopped me from using it. I just figured I'd get an opinion sample to be sure.

I personally love cumin and use it a lot in my cooking (lots of mexican and middle eastern/indian dishes use it.

It does smell a little like BO.

If you get good quality or fresh stuff, it just smells good. Smoky and savory....
