Is it just me, or does anyone else hate the way a lot of things DL now?

I don't know why, and I may just be being anal here, but I HATE that when you go to DL an app or something from a vendor's site, that you don't get to really DL it on your own. Everyone seems to be using those dumb as$ little files you DL and then run that to DL what you wanted to begin with. God damn does this piss me off! Am I the only one? Am I being stupid?

You mean like isetup6.exe?

I hate that crap as well, but that is about the only program that I can think of that does that

There is one benifit to these though...you always get the latest version of the program 🙂

I understand it for IE6, because you don't want to have to DL every component, but Kazaa does this now, which is friggin ridiculous.

I believe Netscape does this too.
Also either realplayer or quicktime (I forget which) does it also.

These suck, any type of installation program sucks. You never know what it's really putting on your computer.
