I think it is more proof that people are lazy and the public school system sucks. They shouldn't pass their spelling and grammar classes writing like that.

Or maybe they are like me and can spell well but when online don't care as much and tend to be lax about it 😱
 
I was just having this debate with myself as I was composing a short post in another thread.

I put: "New Balance 574's or 576's > Nike Dunks"

I decided that this was a special case since the numbers themselves aren't really words. I think it is most common to add an apostrophe when pluralizing a number. Sorta like talking about the 1960's or the 1980's.
