It does. After you hear a message it prompts you to press '0' for more options. One option is to replay the message and the other gives you the date and time.

Verizon doesn't charge me for checking my voice mail. WTF?

Yes it does. calling *86 or your own number is not considered "IN". Only on nights and weekends checking your voicemail is free. or if you call an external number to check your vm

Ill never use a CDMA service again....havent for years, and have never looked back. I don't appreciate the privilege of having to pay a $35 connection fee and having to re-enter all of my contacts every time I switch phones, when I can just switch a SIM card over and have everything already set up.

LOL, you have 9K+ votes on a computer forum yet you can't figure out how to connect a usb cable to your computer and transfer contacts that way?

Anyways, I :heart: Verizon, everything else is sub-par.

Data cables are expensive.

Thats more money than I'm willing to spend for a cable just to transfer my damn contacts.

So I get to pay $35 (thats the rate last time I checked, which was a VERY long time ago) to connect, and $15 for a cable to do the very same thing, which will take at least an hour, instead of swapping SIMs in 20 seconds?

Well there is no $35 fee with VZW to change your phone, and it takes like maybe 5 minutes to transfer the contacts.

I like some of the things that GSM has to offer, but here in the US they just don't have a large enough network. Until just a couple years ago, GSM wasn't in southern VA. Even now, it's still really only around the larger cities (Richmond, Roanoke, etc) and on the interstate.

Up here in NY/CT where I am currently visiting, there is a great GSM network and I probably would switch if I were to move up here.. but for nearly everywhere else, VZW has the coverage I need.
