Is it inconsiderate to choose to still go to school when you have the flu?

Sort of, but your professors probably don't care so you might have to go anyway if there's something important happening.

As long as you sit away from everyone else and stay quiet, not a problem. If you're constantly hacking and blowing your nose, that's annoying.

I'd go unless I'm constantly chain coughing. Then I'd not only get others sick much easily, I'd disrupt the class.

If you have the flu and come you suck.

However, with colds it is usually OK to come.
because colds dont spread?

Hacking and sniffling is one thing. Fever and vomiting is another.

Is it?

Yes, absolutely. I would even say heartless. That thing is no joke. I contracted it from some lady who was supposed to be recovering from it. For the first time ever in my life ... going a week without eating, missing one week of classes, pounding headache and resting all the time because I was too weak to even get up to eat. I only managed to drink water. Luckily, I haven't had to deal with the flu again. And I hope that my immune system is strong enough with the help of Zinc.

As long as it won't impact your grade directly by being absent, stay home or call the prof and see what you can work out. No reason to make anyone else miserable
I know misery loves company, but please don't follow that advice ;)
