I got an original Stacker (the new black/blue one) recently for $130. I still think I might have spent too much for a case, but this one was so close to perfect for my purposes that I couldn't resist buying it. Although it's quite heavy, I never need to move it off my desk, and it has excellent cooling and customizability options. I have it set up with four 120mm and three 80mm case fans in various places.

As others have said though, you can get several very good cases for around $50.

And don't limit yourself to Newegg. Consider that you will be paying sales tax in NJ on top of shipping. ewiz will beat them pretty well on the silver Armor Jr., figuring both shipping and sales tax into the equation.

good catch! those of us not in Jersey/Cali/Tennessee forget this sometimes. bummer, kind of makes Newegg much less the bargain for those folks.

I kinda miss living in Jersey for this simple fact. Yes I had to pay sales tax, but shipping from Edison was like getting a free upgrade to overnight shipping. Or 2 day tops. I usually got my stuff next day though unless I ordered too early in the morning.

so New Yorkers and Pennsylvanians are at a distinct advantage there , lol.

it amazes me sometimes how quickly Newegg and ZZF can get stuff to Minneapolis. usually the same deal, order w/usual 3-4 day shipping and it usually shows up on day 2

I know, that's why I'm buying the most expensive parts from mwave.com

You probabally could get away with it, but you'd end up having to wait the 3 days to get it instead of 1 to 2.

I'm probobly going to go with the Thermaltake Armor series, that'll bring the price out to $1,212 which is under the budget, thanks.

Check XOxide.com too, you jerseyites/tennesseeans - they are in PA so you shouldn't have to pay slsTx. And even ground shipping should be reasonable time-wise. They are now on my Always Check list.
