BUY FVCKING INSURANCE

WI drivers forget though that if they drive in another state, if that state requires insurance then anyone driving in the state must have it. They get tickets in IL all the time.

In Virginia:

The financial responsibility requirement can be met in one of several ways;

The vehicle owner can insure the motor vehicle with minimum liability coverage thru a policy issued by an insurance company licensed to do business in Virginia.

The minimum liability coverage is as follows.
Bodily injury/death of one person $25,000
Bodily injury/death of two or more persons $50,000
Property damage $20,000
Or

The vehicle owner can show proof that a Surety Bond has been duly executed, by depositing cash or securities with DMV, or apply for and receive a self-insurance certificate from DMV.

Or

The vehicle owner must pay the Uninsured Motor Vehicle (UMV) fee. (Doesn't not give you insurance coverage)

i've actually looked this up. if she has insurance and you have hher permission to drive her vehicle, its no problem- her insurance will cover it.
In every state?
Some dude rear ended me
Why do you care? The accident was the other driver's fault, he is liable, and it is his insurance that will be doing the paying. In this type of case, you don't even need insurance except to show to the cops and/or the DMV.
Or is there something you're not telling us?

Aaahh Vic, you're forgetting there are many states that have NO FAULT INSURANCE. I don't know if his state is that way, but if so, his insurance pays regardless of fault.

Or just dont get insurance, its all a scam anyways. Do you think they would do business with you if they didn't make $$$. It's not like they give it back if you dont get in a wreck.

In a way that can be the easiest solution (I'll leave the morality out of the equation).

Back during Thanksgiving I ended up hung over and had my ex roommate drive me. He rear ended my friend's car and insurance wouldn't cover it since apparently our policy didn't include other drivers. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago and we suddenly get a bill for $300 to add him to our policy and they won't take him out. I think we're going to switch companies.
Was he your roommate at the time? If so, that is why he was excluded.

Nope, haven't lived with him since high school (4years ago), it was like a reunion. And it doesn't make sense for them to demand that I add him either, since he currently lives 300miles away from me. What do they want me to do, drive hungover and hope I don't cause a bigger accident?
