So you like it when you're going 65 mph and there's a car 12 feet behind you? In the way or not, that's a very unsafe distance.

especially when you're driving a nice new (WRX;)) and they have a beater car...makes me really nervous, because if I need to stop suddenly, my ass is doomed (well, my car's ass)

I tend not to worry about what the people behind me are doing. I can't control the world or how the person behind me is driving. I have come to terms with that.

If I see someone come hauling ass up from behind me, then I will get out of their way.

A lot of people get hurt on the road while they are trying to prove a point.

I don't know about illegal but it'll piss someone off. I just slow down when I'm being tailgated, then speed up when they try to pass. The impatient dicks can go to hell for all I care

they can't go around on a 1 lane street, where most tailgaiters seem to appear, because otherwise, they pass

You haven't driven in Minnesota then, On I-35 they'll ride your rear end for miles, even tho it's 2 lanes each way, and it's not like I drive slow, I usually do 75 in a 70, not like I"m some old person puttin along at 50. The worst is people who can't judge their exits, fly by you about 85-90 and then cut you off to take the exit that's 100ft away.

I agree, impatient people can burn in hell :|

you need a car with a rear wiper... my old LeBaron had a rear wiper AND sprayer.. was the sweetest thing.. could so easily customize that and make it spray backwards! :D

Bah, I spray my rear washers or change to a lower gear (slows car rapidly without brakes) or check my brakes if I'm in a pissy mood. If they get road rage and try to catch me... unless they drive a ZO6 (or even if) they'll never catch me if they're an "ordinary" driver. ;)

And if they decide to ram my rearend... frig, my car cost me only $4K... I could buy another one pretty easily with their insurance money. It's not like I couldn't just transfer the mods.

I usually go pretty fast anywho, so if you're tailgating me, you're prolly asking to run right into the speed trap up ahead... I've had that happen 3-4 times already. I slowed down when I passed and laughed and pointed [Nelson]HA-Haaa[/Nelson].

The worst is when a cop starts tailgating you... on a two-lane road! I'm going barely above limit and even slow below limit... wtf?! Man, I was tempted to "brake for squirrels." It's the damn "arrest-me-red" sports car...

I hope none of you children are in my way when I'm in a hurry or vice versa.

I don't have children, but riding someone's tail isn't going to make you get there faster. And if you're implying that you'd run over my non-existent children just because you want to get some place faster, then..I don't even have to finish that thought.

if there's someone going slow in the fast lane on the freeway, i sure as hell will tailgate them, and more often then not it'll make them move to the next lane. now if theres no where to move or someones tailgating on regular streets for no reason, thats a different story. and BTW i think he was reffereing to you as a child, not talking about your children

aaahhh, "none of you children"..I read it as "none of your children"...
Yeah, I can somewhat understand about being in the fast lane and going slow. Personally, I tend to stay in the middle/right lanes, preferring the middle, but only to pass trucks or über slow people do I go into the fast lane, usually

Did it with my toyota tercell wagon. I just turned the sprayer upside down, so it, in fact, pointed up. it pulled from the main tank, and would spray far enough to get about a car length behind me at a stop. at speed, the wind just turned it into mist really, so it wasn't that effective.

I think I used it once.
