Is it illegal to mount window washer fluid sprayers to the back of your car?

I hate tailgaters, and this would be awesome to make your own window sprayers (what are these really called?) on the back to spray the guy behind you...a little evil, but sounds like fun to me
(as opposed to using the ones in front, and getting your car wet, which would dry, then make streaks)

If you point them high enough, won't the front ones work? Of course, you'd be left without usable windshield washers..

The trick would be routing the tube to the back of the car..but I have no idea if it's illegal or not. If it was designed for the sole purpose of squirting other cars, it might be a gray area..heh

I had a friend who did that... Some cars already have sprayers pointed backwards (mostly coupe/hatchback cars) for the rear window... People just adjusted them to spray straight back instead of downwards to take care of tailgaters...

Point them rearward and make sure you fill the reservoirs with low viscosity mineral oil!

spraying tailgaters is bound to result in some nasty road rage one day. I just slow down enough so that they switch lanes or something, or flash my brake lights

Adjust your front ones so they spray over your car and hit the car behind. It is less obvious that way.

One to turn on, rotates them electronically to go from facing your rear window...to face behind you Man...that'd be awesome, then you hit the other switch to fire....
hmm...also, it'd have its own resevoir to be filled with something like soda. coke, or something, it'd be sticky, and the guy would probably just be like "AAHHHH WTF OMGOMG"

I had one on my Jeep like that. You could pull out the hose and it would just spray behind you in an arc. I never had the balls to do it though.

I don't have children, but riding someone's tail isn't going to make you get there faster. And if you're implying that you'd run over my non-existent children just because you want to get some place faster, then..I don't even have to finish that thought.

edit: and, I was joking about the soda idea, because I'd hate to have soda sprayed on my car, but, water doesn't tend to cause much damage, and, people don't usually tailgate on streets/highways with more than 1 lane, and I'm not referring to them in those situations, since they're usually non-existent

Heh. I had a VW GTi that got backed into. Part of the damage from the impact was knocking off this plastic deflector that shot the windshield fluid up to the windshield. Well, when it got busted off, it shot the fluid straight back. It went a good 10 feet out from the car.

It was fun
