Is it illegal to make a website with the answers to homework questions?

I'm thinking about doing this. I've got a bunch of hw that my teachers since my freshman year said to keep and I will now make good use of it 😉 by posting all the answers on the internet, well, not yet. 😉

I'd ask some of my friends to give me some of their hw too! It's going to be a great website! Well, if its okay. I know the teachers won't like it, but forget them. WHat you guys think about this?
 
It'd be a kick ass site! I'm aiming for a viewing audience of the 13-18 category. My disclaimer or terms of use, or policy, etc, etc. will be something like "this site should only be referred to after you've actally tried doing the problems yoruself, but can't not come to the right conclusion, or if you'd like to check your answers 😉" haha!
 
If the homeworks are from textbooks would you be violating copyright? I'm not sure ... can someone copyright the answer 1+1=2...

Illegal? No. Immoral? Maybe, depending on whether or not you believe letting others cheat to be immoral. However, if the teachers do what some of mine do when grading homework and look to see if you've tried, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Just hope that no teacher finds out that it's your site, or you might get in trouble.

IMO you would be doing some a disservice by giving them the answer. They might not have any idea how to get that answer, and may therefore be screwed on any test on the material.
 
If people go and copy everything without understanding how to do it and then whine when they do sh1tty on a test, THAT IS THEIR FAULT.

I don't copy stuff (such as odd answers from back of math books) unless I understand how to do it.

It's a pretty cool idea anyway. There's other big sites like that for essays and the like.
 
Just what you need to do is never mention textbook names. That way you won't get screwed by the companies themselves. Just mention the pages and such, but never the names of books.

And expect some REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY pissed off staff at your school if alot of kids go to it 🙂
 
Nope. There are soooo many sites like that already. As long as you don't use teacher names, textbook names, copyright stuff, etc.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean you won't get in trouble at school for it so be careful.
