Is it harder to stay up really late or wake up really early?

Generally speaking, say you had nothing to do, nothing to stay up late for, and nothing to wake up for..would it be easier to stay up until say, 6am, or wake up at 6am (for those like me that wake up ~10, adjust to earlier if need be)?

I'm a night owl, its easy to stay up late, but its hard to find the motivation to wake up. Even in school, if I was up late cramming or doing some fast typing, I had to sit there and finish it, or else the morning stuff would go right through my head or my writing would be incoherent.

I think just about everyone here will say it's harder to "wake up". This is the mountain dew generation you're talking to.

Definitely easier to stay up. Once I'm up, it's easier to stay awake than it is to actually get up. Also, I find that no matter what time I set my alarm for, as long as an alarm is set and it goes off, it's too early, even if I go to bed at 2 and set my alarm for noon, it's too early.

I wake up at 4am every morning regardless of wether i want to or not. That being said, I'm going to bed. Goodnight all.

Syringer, do you by chance play Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory under that same screen name?

I loved working nights sooooo much more than days. It was great to just stay up late, not have to get up early, it was cooler outside, no traffic, easy to go to the grocery store. Getting up for an 8am class or work is my hell.

Once particle in motion, less energy to keep it in motion. Once particle stop, more energy to start it up.

I think something similar to that? 😉

Hmm.. how to say this...

It's easy to stay up really late, but it's even easier to wake up really early if you go to sleep really early.

I get up at 6AM workdays. That's not early. Getting up at 3:30AM for a plane is early. And it sux, my digestive system lets me know that it doesn't like it.
