- maintaining their physical appearance, i.e. staying in physical shape
- getting/keeping patrons interested in them
- any other criteria
 
The only women who go to male strippers are bachlorette parties and they're all too drunk to know whats going on anyways. Those cougars will take anything that shakes their dick in their face.

Male patrons are more discerning, we know what we want to see. It better be perfect. Or the complimentary lunch buffet better have chicken wings in it at least.

I don't know about the women strippers... but I get tired of all the tugs. I mean if it were women tugging sure... but damn to make money as a male stripper you have to dance in certain clubs.

I'm gonna say being a male strippers is harder... just because physical physique isn't as important for a guy than it is a girl doesn't mean an employer will hire fatasses. Plus the demand for female strippers far surpasst he demand for male strippers so from job opportunity standpoint, it's easier to become a female stripper.

Also add to the fact that a female stripper can tack on some "tack ons" and get an immediate ROI.
 
I am going to say male. For female strippers there are strick laws and the clubs basically lets the guys look but no touching. Even in a lap dance you just sit there with your hands at your side as the female stripper does her thing.

However for the males there is no laws protecting them so a bunch of females can get fairly aggressive in grabbing at the male and touching. One of the episodes of HBO Real Sex had part of the show on male strippers and the woman got fairly aggressive with various male body parts and just reaching out to grabbing and touching whatever they wanted. A male patron grabbing the breasts on a female stripper would be kicked out of the club by the bouncer. Just my two cents.
