Lee Priest. The guy gets upwards of 300lbs in the off-season and goes down to a ripped to the bone 215 or so during competition. I've used this system for a while, only I don't achieve porcine weights, just 20-40lbs over my competition weight. The best way to lose weight is to gain muscle and the best way to gain weight is to gain muscle. If you are skinny, build muscle, if you are fat, build muscle and lose weight.

fat to buff i guess...with lots of work

if a person's skinny that means he/she has a high metabolism and no amount of working out is gonna slow down the metabolism enuff to get buff

Fat to buff. Hauling all that lard around is bound to build a muscle or two. :p

fat to buff. You can drop some bodyfat but you still have a decent base to start with. On the other hand for skinny people ... in most cases they have a hard time putting on weight which in turn makes it hard for them to "get buff".

I've always been a fitness nut but there have been a couple of time that I let myself get out of shape due to injury or just plain complacency and I've found that exercise with a proper diet has always worked for me to get back into shape. I've never been skinny so I can't say if it?s easier to get buffed if you are skinny but I do know that with willpower, a proper diet and a good exercise regimen that dropping weight and getting "Buffed" really is attainable for most no matter your age. Of course it depends on your definition of buffed. Ahhnuld?? Maybe not but good size Arms, Chest and a slim waist is certainly achievable if you are dedicated and patient

it doesn't matter how HIGH your metabolism is. If you diet properly and exercise properly, you WILL gain muscle. You may have to eat like a horse, but so long as you eat clean, so that you get enough fuel for your body, you will gain muscle.

dieting is so important, i just learned that this year. it's just as important as working out, maybe more so because even though i'm not working out now because of my injury, i still try to eat clean for the most part. i haven't for the past 2 weeks because of school, but i will at least when the semester is over.

i didn't gain that much weight but i got a small amount of definition which was doing good.....but my wrist sucks (even using wrist wraps properly and such) and it hurts to type some after working out.....and being a CS major that doesn't work out so well so i kinda stopped

(i did stop completely for like 2+ months to let my wrist heal and then started agian being careful and it started hurting agian after anotther couple months so i just quit)

lowfat, i know what you're talkin about, CS major here too. i had problems with my right wrist( keep it clean ), but the doctor said it's a keeloid, where a sac in the wrist get's filled with a hard fluid. she gave me a brace to wear whenever i have problems, and that helped a lot

i can do lifting without a problem, i used to need wrist straps, but don't anymore. if you're diet wasn't working after a month, you should have increased your diet intake. that arnold book has some good programs, if you don't have it, get it.

i suggest the hardback version
