Make sure you put LED lights in the wheel wells so they really show up.

It's your car, if you like red calipers then paint the damn things.

Brake parts get REALLY hot- how long will regular paint last for that application? I thought you had to powder coat them.

they do get very hot...and you don't use regular automotive paint on calipers...you use high-heat paint that's meant specifically for calipers, engine blocks, etc.

Caliper paint works well but unfortunately it will get chipped. There's nothing that can be done to prevent it.

You know how Chinese knock-offs slightly differ in what they are ripping off to avoid seizures...you should do the same.

Hand paint Brendo on there. Or Wildwood. Maybe ESB or Stoptek.

I'm going to paint PORSCHE on them for the added stopping power.

I need to get a photo of the calipers on my co-worker's Evo. He powder coated them green and added a Heineken logo. Certainly funny.

If its BBKs or something, any color goes. But the ugly looking stock calipers should remain whatever factory color they are.

I think it can look good and it's not always bad taste unlike other modifications, but it's a sporty look imho so I wouldn't do it on an econobox.

I agree 100% with Imported. You need to have calipers with opposing pistons for the paint to look good. I don't ever think you see the other type painting from the OEM and it looks cheezy.

I did them on my TL. They actually are Brembo calipers, so the logos are warranted.

I actually was screwing around one day and painted my stock calipers red on my all black 99 Altima (black rims, too). MHO is it it looks good from far , far from good. I may go buy actual red calipers though as I like the look. It balances with the red tail lights and breaks up the all black. Before doing them red, I did one side black and that actually looked nice, too and a little more tasteful.

I've been meaning to get around to powder coating my calipers. Would probably go with blue, silver or black.
I wonder if those would fit the CTS-V. :hmm:
Is there a decent bit of clearance on the CTS? There's no way my LS would take caliper covers :(
