Is it better to use Creative Labs RivaTNT drivers or nVidia's Detonator drivers for Win2K?

Just installed a new 40 gigger and going through the drivers part. I should buy an Imaging utility but funds is the issue

But I digress. nVidia says that its better to use your card manufacturers drivers rather than the dets. your opinion?

I always use the ref drivers. Sometimes the card mfg add better tvout support and possibly a GUI to adjust settings easier..

i still run a diamond viper V550 TNT card and uses Nvidia's reference drivers. Performnce between different drivers doesn't really hange much so just go for stablity and compatability with your games. 🙂

What John said.

I've always used nVidia's ref drivers. I had trouble with the 23.11's on 1 system so I went back to the 21.83's on it. 23.11's are fine on the others, though. Go to Guru3D's site . He's got all the nVidia drivers available.

I think you should go with the latest official Detonators. I don't think it will make much of a difference for the TNT, but in the times of version 6.49 / 6.50 and so you could get a performance leap.
If you care about performance I'd recommend to run 3DMark 2000 a couple of times using the different drivers to see what difference it makes.
