Is it better to contact the manufacturer or vendor?

I just recieved my 7800GT today and it don't work (Locks up when trying to boot into windows). Is it better to contact Newegg(where I purchased it) or XFX to recieve a replacement?
 
With Newegg, you will get a new one back within two weeks. With XFX, I doubt they can do it as fast, and will probably send you a refurb or white box version.
