a friend of my dad's lost an eye as a child. there was a toothpick stuck in teh carpet. he was running, tripped, and fell on it.

Never heard of it causing problems, other than the potential to look really dumb and/or get you busted for cheating on a final.

I've had temporary (non-pen) ink on both arms. Looked pretty badass, lasted two weeks before it started fading.
