I have heard that it's best to exercise every OTHER day. Is there any harm in exercising everyday?

I don't know...I seem to hear about health nuts (the kind that have a strict diet and jog everyday) suddenly dying from cancer and other such complications at a young age. Not sure why that is.
Or they get run over by asshats to impatient to wait for them to cross the street.Originally posted by: BlancoNino

Well thankfully you backed up such an outrageous claim with sufficient evidence, right?

Well it's not like I saved the newspaper clippings. I know of one guy in this town who developed cancer in his early 40's (huge health nut)...and when it happened everyone was bringing up these other guys who were also health nuts that died young too.
This is hardly an "outrageous" claim. I've heard it discussed on the radio before as well. You guys are probably frantically googling it and thinking "IF ITS NOT ON TEH INTERNET ITS NOT TRUE!!!".

There's some harm,
considering that you can have muscle fatigue if you don't rest the same muscle group,
stress fractures on bones,
instances of low blood sugar since all of them are in glucagon form to support muscular activity,
etc.

your thinking of glycogen, and that can be replenished fairly quickly after a run

Most cancers are caused by enviormental factors. So your post is retarded. He didnt die because he was a health nut.

Depends what type of exercising and how intense.
Jogging and leisure biking can be done every day, for example.
Weight lifting is best done either every other day, or targeting different muscle groups each day. Upper body on day 1, lower body on day 2, that sort of thing.
